New CB Match vs Southern Gaming!! Strat Posted!!

Ok boys we've been challenged again!! Time to defend hard and this time hopefully I know the rules!! lol

Ok so they've given us 3 maps...

Dustbowl
Badlands
Prolane v3

Times:

Sunday 27th 8PM or 9PM EST (6 pm or 7 pm our time)

Thursday 1st October at 9PM EST (7PM our time)

Friday 2nd October 8PM or 9PM EST (6pm or 7 pm our time)

Ok so personally i think dustbowl is a good map for us. I also think Badlands wouldn't be too bad either. Never heard of Prolane and i reckon it's too late to get prac'd up on it...

So we need players to commit and let us know which day suits. I have 1 day and 3 hours left to get this sorted so get your shit together boys!!

sorry for the last minute but i wont be ableto make from about a week maybe from Tuesday because my main PC has a virus and i am using a laptop from like 1905 and it cant even play movies from the net like youtube and it cant play games cause it cant handle the graphics.

It will be about a week from Tuesday because the computer shop isn't open over this long weekend.

no, the PC wont even go to the part where you select what profile you want to go on.
it goes to a blac screen with theses options using the F buttons like F9 to reboot but the keyboard or mouse wont even turn on.

mum rang the computer guy here and he said to bring it in on Tuesday caused it has something to do with the motherboard because it was mentioned when it said a list of problemsor something.

hopefully we get a new tower.

Rules from the CB Website:
cp_dustbowl
Dustbowl shall be played with each team having one turn at attacking and defending. Timelimit is 0 and tournament mode is on. The winning team is the one that captures the most points, or captures the same number of points in the quickest time.
Just so I know this time hey....

Fully - Demoman or Heavy
Me - Engineer or Pyro
Glenno - Medic or Heavy
Splinter - Pyro
Rapid - Spy
Bassplayer - Pyro or Scout

On Defence
Rapid you camp somwhere near the exits and be ready to target who ever you can when you get the word. As per usuual call out what you see. When your good and the teams set, hit em hard and stab as many as you can...
Before that happens tho, fully you sticky the exits and when they start to flood out you blow it and do as much damage as you can... then you sticky the point and retreat into the tunnels up top.. When they hit that point do as much damage as you can and get back to resticky asap.
Bassplayer your in that mix too as Pyro and you need to be in there causing kaos. You need to keep alive as much as you can tho dude so retreat if your getting smashed. Remember the compressed air blast for pushing a medic away and breaking the uber.
Glenno your his medic dude, keep that fker alive. If we lose that first point then you switch to heavy and camp that point out and stay defence.
I'm going to go Engy while in defence and i'm going to get a tele up straight up outside spawn and exit up in the tunnel where fully's going to be camped. The key is going to be using that tele as our entry point for the first defence.
After i have the Tele's up, the sentry will go on the second point and i'll build a dispenser.
Splinter your with me and your job us to deflect everything you can with the compressed blast and spy check my shit...

If we lose the first point we're all on defence. Untill that tho, 4 up front 2 on defence of the second point.

On attack.

Glenno, medic
Me Pyro
Bassplayer Scout
Rapid Spy
Splinter Pyro

Fully if we need to kill a sentry your it, otherwise you go with whatever your cool for in the situ either heavy or demo. Sticky removal as Heavy will be a good ploy
Glenno, you stick with the crew as per usual and buff and uber up.
Me and Splinter as pyro's stick together with the rest of the crew and do whats required up close and personal come go time.
Bass, your job is to get in and get out, check and see who's where and doing what and then get out. cause some damage if you can but DONT get killed. Regroup with the team if your getting smashed and then we'll need you to speed up the cap of the point.
Rapid your job is to take out as many as you can, be in position to spy cap if you can and at all times relay info about whats coming up.

And thats about it fellas. Remeber this one is a big map with 7 points to win and 7 points to lose. Lets not lose too many and lets win more lol...

I'm keen, we all know this map, so man up, know the strat and lets do this!!

Ok well we lost again but i had a lot of fun that game and i think we're actually not doing too bad now hey. We are missing a good solly BADLY tho and if someone wants to step up and get good at it by all means do so.... And if there's someone else in the PGN who's not on the team but feels they have the skills by all means join us. It's a lot of fun even if we do cop a flogging most games lol...

Other than that i think the Sentry was a complete was of time and not worth the effort. Once it's down it takes too long to rebuild it for these short games.

Also i think we need to get ourselves specialised on 3 maps. Pick 3 and practise them like mad!! We should get the team together and vs a heap of the boys in a 6 vs 6 game sometime. I'm sure we could get enough of our crew together to have a friendly scrim against each other and seriously it would benefit us heaps to get some prac up hey... Seperate team channels and we hit it hard... i think that'd be pretty good but we'd need to get 6 others to commit to the game for it to happen....

Anyways it's just an idea... i'm looking forward to our next game anyways... the more we play the better we'll get so if we try get one going every week, surely we'll get one win on the board before the ladder finishes? lol

I think the sentry would have worked good Honky if it wasn't a level 1, but what killed it was the time it took to get the transporters up and going, that left no time to build the sentry up or a dispenser to match it.
